A condominium development provides individuals with the opportunity to purchase units in properties, unlike apartments and rental buildings. The individual owns the title to the unit, up to the walls, but not including the walls of the building. The rest of the building and shared areas are shared among the condo owners in the association and elects an association to make decisions for the group.
